One conclusion from trying to lay things out with a diagramming tool - probably more packet gear than I can find activity to use them on... but it's still fun planning.
I thought I'd start writing a few things down for posterity.
On Saturday at the "Wetnet" breakfast, I asked for a quick survey of what was happening locally on packet.
I was amazed that no one really knew. To a person, they guessed, or they'd heard. I guess it's going to be pretty lonely on packet.
Here's some of what I want to gear on air for:
144.39 - APRS, of course; 'bout time I got on there, and started using Xastir (inside joke that only a few friends will get).
145.01 - I have a TAPR TNC-2 and I can't think of anything more appropriate for that veteran to do.
145.63 - Apparently that's where the most interesting stuff is happening, including some Net/ROMish activity.
147.60 - This was our TCP/IP frequency on the Northern Eastside of the Seattle area, and there's some activity coming back to life there.224.56 - A long suffering audio repeater used for packet that no one quite seems to care about or use any more.
44x.xx - Key Tower
44x.xx - 19.2K - lots of pieces parts that can probably make at least 3-4 systems
44x.xx - 9600 LAN based on Kenwood rig
And, of course, some D-Star gear when I can afford it in the Amateur Radio budget.
